Good Morning! When I walked out to pick up our mail this morning I was treated to this sight. As one who is not particularly fond of winter I found this to be hopeful and a reminder that the spring will be eventually return.

Jane Ellen Wiles emailed last week and indicated that the self portrait that was thought to be Jane Price was not - anyone have any ideas who it might be?

Please plan to pick up your poinsettias after Sunday's 10:00 service. They will be removed on Monday the 9th. Beginning January 15th and each third Sunday of the month, incense will be used during service. Reminders will be included in the bulletin and Mid-Week. January 15, 2017, St James will be holding its annual meeting. Please plan to attend. All committee reports should be to Mindy by January 10th. Names were submitted and vetted with the following parishioners nominated and have agreed to run for Vestry. VESTRY NOMINEES ARE: Evan Abood, running unopposed for Sr. Warden Barbara Saunders running unopposed for Jr. Warden The top three vote receivers will be seated in full terms the fourth vote receiver will fulfill Evan Abood term. Eric Blake, Michelle Dayton, Lee Donoho, Tim Linn, Linda O'Neill, Nannette Sherman, Carol Thompson and Bob Welsh.

Fr. Rob has indicated that absentee votes will be accepted but must meet two conditions: 1. Your ballot must be signed and 2. Must be given to Fr. Rob prior to the Annual Meeting on the 15th. Please contact the office if you would like an absentee ballot. Susan Benson and Pat Rush (our new sexton) have been doing some cleaning. They would like you to know that we have a large floor stand fan for anyone who wants it. Please talk to Susan or Pat if you're interested. If you're in need of offertory envelopes, please let Mindy know. The Friendship Dinner Committee would like us to know that January 28 will be the next Friendship Dinner. The signup sheet is posted in the Undercroft. Sherry Gillespie and the ECW would like us to know VERY IMPORTANT MEETING! Sorry this is so short notice, but I am sometimes computer challenged. January 11, 6:30 (Wednesday), in Undercroft there will be a meeting for the Women of St. James. Agenda- Approving budget for 2017 (looking at making some changes) Planning for Shrove Tuesday February 28th. Approving spending more for the Building Fund. Respectfully, Sherry Gillespie

On going ~ Becca Abele has provided us with a working draft of the St. James' directory. Copies are available in the back of the church and will also be sent via email. Please take a moment to check your address, phone number and email. Becca says that she'd be happy include any new photos. She would also like to you to provide the names (in order) of any the people in your photo.

Community ~ Muskingum County Library: The Library has many activities planned for the month of January. For additional information or events, visit their web site by clicking here January 11 - 5-7pm - "Build Your Own Bookmark". No registration is necessary January 15 - 4:00 - "Singspiration" a tribute to the life and contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. January 17 - 5-7pm - "Spontaneous Science". Hands on science fun. No registration is needed January 24 - 6:30pm - "Family Bingo Night". Registration is limited January 28 - 10:30 to 11:20 - "Drop in Storytime". No registration necessary - open to children ages 2-5. ZCT: The next play the ZCT is presenting is Forgiven: A Fairy Tale (children's play). Show dates are Feb. 3-5 and 10-12. Auditions will be held January 8 and 9th for Three Tall Women (a drama). Eric Blake is the director with Janice Blake acting as producer. For more more information please contact either Eric or Janice. Zane State College is presenting the 25th annual Ethnic Food Fair on Friday, January 13th at 11:00 am. The event will be held in the Campus Center and the cost is $10.00 per person.
