Put it on your calendar. Tuesday, November 25 at 11:30 is our annual Thanksgiving Meal with the Bear Lodge students and staff. Bring a favorite Thanksgiving side dish to share and join us for this wonderful time. ====================== November 1 – All Saints’ Day – it is believed by many scholars that the commemoration of all the saints on this day originated in Ireland. It was adopted by Rome early in the ninth century. But – a man called the ‘Wonder Worker’ wrote before the year 270 of the observance of a festival of all martyrs. In the 1979 Prayer Book, All Saints’ Day is classed as a Principal Feast, taking precedence of any other day or observance. Among the seven Principal Feasts so classified, All Saints’ Day alone may be observed on the following Sunday, in addition to its fixed date. Holy Women, Holy Men

Collect for All Saints – Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord: Give us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those ineffable joys that you have prepared for those who truly love you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

++++++++++++++++ Prayer for Guidance: Direct us, O Lord, in all our doings with thy most gracious favor, and further us with thy continual help; that in all our works begun, continued, and ended in thee, we may glorify thy holy Name, and finally, by thy mercy, obtain everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen BCP, pg. 831

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ ////////////// Who Knew – Uses for WD-40 - Protects silver from tarnishing - Removes road tar and grime from cars - Cleans and lubricates guitar strings - Removes bees wax - Keeps flies off cows - Restores and cleans chalkboards - Cleans dust from artificial flowers [Editor’s note – I have not tried these, but – WD-40 was created in 1953 by three technicians at the San Diego Rocket Chemical Company. The project was to find a ‘water displacement’ compound. They were successful with the 40th formulation. – Thus WD-40. There is nothing in WD-40 that will hurt one.]
