volunteer news

I am pleased to announce a new member of the FPC Volunteer Staff! Once again, God has blessed us with an FPC member who is willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. Joining our Volunteer Staff Team, I am pleased to share with you that another Stephen Ministry-trained counselor will join Susan Stewart as my Volunteer Staff Pastoral Care Assistant. Stuart Thomson will be assisting me in providing extra care to male members of the church who would benefit from additional visits beyond those I regularly make to homebound and others in need of specific pastoral care. Working along with Susan Stewart and our talented and dedicated Deacons, as well as our parish leaders, our hope and prayer is to expand the level of caregiving within the congregation.

Stuart Thomson

I know you will join me in giving thanks to God for people like Stuart, who are willing to commit themselves to using their gifts, skills and talents to further the kingdom and the ministry here at FPC. —Lee Kinney

Sharon, Hunter, Cameron and mother Barbara Probert are all delighted to share the good news that Jeff has done it!

Congratulations are in order to FPC Member, the newly minted, Dr. Jeffrey Probert, who just received his Ph.D. from North Carolina State.
