ADMINISTRATIVE MINISTRY ASSISTANT POSITION PURPOSE: The Administrative Ministry Assistant will provide assistance to the Children’s and Student Ministries of GCC by performing assigned administrative and leadership tasks. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: A. CHILDREN’S MINISTRY (UP TO 10 HOURS WEEKLY): Provide co-leadership for children’s ministry during the 2nd Worship Gathering each Sunday Provide co-leadership for Kids’ Life Clubs Provide assistance with administrative duties such as: • Communication • Special events planning and preparation • Preparation for Sundays • Organization of rooms and supplies • Oversee Children’s Check-in System B. STUDENT MINISTRY (UP TO 10 HOURS WEEKLY): Coordinate varied communications within the youth ministry, such as: mailings, website, email, phone calling, publicity, and social networking. Schedule and coordinate the elements of trips and events: arrange transportation, accommodations, printing/copying, promotional materials, volunteer support, etc. Organize and maintain departmental databases, paperwork, records, and files for all functions. Complete expense reports and track student ministry budgets. C. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Attend weekly staff meetings on Tuesdays from 9-10am Other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor (as available) QUALIFICATIONS: A. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Experienced and gifted in leadership and administration Ministry experience is preferred but not required B. MINISTRY SKILLS: Ability to oversee teams, volunteers, events, and programs Creative ability to offer and implement new ideas and strategies to accomplish the mission of making disciples Collaborative ability to work with others in a team environment Administrative and organizational skills-consistently able to accomplish multiple and varied tasks efficiently and with excellence Competency in use of technology including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, database & check-in software, media management, website management, and social media Page 1 of 2
