We offer support for building sustainable practices into your business: • Baseline assessments of your current business operations, including energy, water, and materials usage • Goal-setting and measurement systems to track your results
Here’s how to join: • Meet with one of our Green Team members to brainstorm how your business can become greener. • Enroll in our program by registering your business. • Set five green goals for the year.
• Networking and information-sharing with sustainable business experts and the Maplewood business community • Assistance in joining the New Jersey Sustainable Business Registry to gain support and assistance in developing your competitive business strategy for sustainability.
• Attend free sustainable business workshops and webinars. • Join our community of business owners in sharing resources and best practices.
Incentive Programs The Maplewood Green Business Team will also assist you in exploring the following state-funded incentive programs. New Jersey Sustainable Business Registry offers free resources and a goal-setting program, along with a promotional listing in their registry. NJ Clean Energy Benchmarking Program conducts free data analysis of your company’s carbon footprint and building performance. NJ Direct Install Program offers rebates up to 70% of the project cost to replace lighting, HVAC, and other operational equipment. NJ Energy Star Program offers rebates up to $5,000 and 0% interest financing up to $10,000.
