Grilled Peaches SERVES 4-8

INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS

4 semi-ripe organic peaches, cut in half, pit removed 1 Tbsp evaporated cane juice crystals 1 Tbsp honey 1/2 tsp molasses 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon Grapeseed oil (see tips below) 1. Pre-heat outdoor grill. 2.  In a small bowl, combine evaporated  cane juice crystals, honey, molasses and cinnamon. Mix until all ingredients form a smooth paste.

3) Brush cut sides of peaches with grapeseed oil. 4) Using tongs, place peaches, cut side down, on a hot grill. Cook until fruit has grill marks, approximately 3-4 minutes depending on the temperature of the grill. 5) Flip peaches over and move them from the hottest part of the grill to an area of indirect heat. Spread sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly over the cut sides of each peach. Cover grill and cook until sugar mixture is melted and the fruit is tender, approximately 10-15 minutes. 6) Remove from heat, sprinkle with additional ground cinnamon before serving.

 TIPS

Grapeseed oil has the highest smoke point of any oil, which makes it perfect for grilling over high heat.  Serve warm with a scoop of organic vanilla ice cream. If concerned with dairy, choose your favorite non-dairy ice cream.
