Gymnastics Camp [Levels 2-6] Cheerleading & Tumbling
West Chester University Golden Rams’
Barbara Cordova is in her ninth year as head women's gymnastics coach at West Chester University. Cordova was named ECAC Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2015. Each year the team continues to improve, breaking records in and out of the gym. This past season she had one gymnast qualify to NCAA Regionals. This is the second time this accomplishment was meant since the NCAA became an open championship for all divisions. She had ten gymnasts advance to the USAG Collegiate Nationals meet and two earned All-American honors. In the classroom her team had a cumulative GPA of 3.73 and was ranked 4th compared to all the other NCAA women's gymnastics teams. The 1988 graduate of WCU has over 20 years of experience coaching gymnastics on the club level over the last two decades. A former Golden Rams gymnast under legendary head coach Sandy Thielz, Cordova helped West Chester University capture three PAIAW championships during her collegiate career in the late 1980s. She also served as the team captain her senior season and was a two-time PSAC scholar-athlete honoree. Cordova previously coached at Atlantic Coast Gymnastics in Sewell, N.J. where she had trained gymnasts for five years. Her coaching experience also took her to Rancho California Gymnastics in Murrieta, Calif., for one year and Blake's Gymnastics Training Academy in Northfield, N.J. for nine seasons where she assisted with the training of gymnasts up to and including level 10 athletes. Cordova graduated cum laude from West Chester University in 1988 with a degree in Physical Education and holds a National Teaching Certificate in both Health & Physical Education and Elementary Education. She is also USA Gymnastics Safety certified and has her Meet Directors Certification

Gymnastics camps is for female gymnasts who are currently competing Level 2-Level 6. We will be working on skills needed for your upcoming season. If you don't want to spend lots of money going away to camp, this is a great alternative for you. Cheerleading/Tumbling Camp is for cheerleaders of any level who want to work on tumbling skills, body awareness, flexibility and acrobatics.
The camp programs will be conducted in Gym 6 at WCU’s Sturzebecker Health Sciences Center on South Campus 855 South New Street, West Chester, PA
Each camper should bring a container of water (no glass). WCU and its camp staff are not responsible for lost or missing items. All personal equipment should be marked with the camper’s name.
