Have You Looked at Your Credit Report Lately? Did you know you can check your credit report every 12 months from each credit reporting company for free? AnnualCreditReport.com is the official site specifically directed by Federal law to provide your free credit reports. We encourage all of our members to take advantage of this free service to ensure everything is correct and to monitor for fraudulent activity.
To get your free credit report, call (877) 322-8228 or go to www.AnnualCreditReport.com. Once you get your report, be sure to review it closely. Make sure you recognize all the accounts and loans listed and that the details are correct. If you find information you believe is inaccurate, contact the company that issued the account or the credit reporting company that issued the report.
Catch errors early and your good credit will be ready when you need it!

Our fraud experts will share tips you can use every day to help keep your identity safe! The seminar is free, but seating is limited, so don’t delay! We just can’t thank you enough for being a part of our Linn Area CU family. To show you how much we appreciate you, we’re inviting all members to enjoy a baseball game on us on Sunday, August 7 at 2:05pm (gates open at 1:05pm) at Veterans Memorial Stadium, 950 Rockford Rd SW, Cedar Rapids. There will be refreshments and door prizes, too!
Do I need to RSVP?
Yes! In order for us to reserve your seat(s) and register you for door prizes, please RSVP to 378-0101 or stop by any branch and tell us how many tickets you’ll need.
Where do I pick up my tickets? Look for the LACU
table by the stadium’s main gate on the day of the game. Please bring proof of membership (account card, debit or credit card or checkbook). Tickets for non-LACU members of your group will also be available that day for $7.50 each. See you there!

Need Money for College?
A private student loan from LACU may be right for you! Education is one of the best long-term investments you can make. It’s also one of the most expensive. (Yikes!) Whatever your educational goals may be, we offer financing options for expenses that grants, scholarships and federal financial aid may not cover. A private student loan from Linn Area Credit Union can be used to pay tuition, as well as for books, housing costs and more. Most full-time students will need a creditworthy co-borrower to qualify. For more information, stop by one of our branches or give us a call at (319) 378-0101.
Support our School Supply Drive! As a former teacher’s credit union, we have a soft spot in our hearts for educators and kids. To show our appreciation and support, Linn Area CU will be collecting school supplies all summer to take down to The Teacher Store, our non-profit organization located at 606 5th Ave SE in downtown Cedar Rapids. (New items only, please!) The Teacher Store provides free classroom materials and supplies to teachers in our community. Want to help out? Look for the plastic bins in any LACU lobby. The types of supplies needed are: • paper • glue sticks • hand sanitizer • post-it notes • markers • Clorox wipes • youth apparel • dry erase • binders • facial tissue • calculators markers These much-appreciated donations will be distributed just in time for the school year. Thank you for your generosity!
We sure enjoy watching our “little” LACU members grow with us. (We also love to watch them have fun!) So, if you’ve got a Kirby Club member (or two... or more!) in the family, get ready for fun at AirFX Trampoline Park, 1100 N 18th Ave, Hiawatha, on Monday, July 11, from 4 - 7pm. (Can’t be there at 4pm? Come when you can, keeping in mind our Kirby funtime ends at 7pm!)
All Kirby Club members up to age 12 will receive an invitation in the mail. Make sure to bring it with you to AirFX for your FREE admission, which includes: • One hour of jump time • A pair of AirFX Grip Socks • One Lazer Frenzy token • One large fountain soda For only $3, you can snack on the Pizza Special (2 slices of pizza). See you at AirFX! Please note: AirFX requires everyone to fill out a waiver before entering the trampoline area.
