Finished size 41” x 12 ½” Supplies Needed: 1 Yard Striped Fabric-This is enough to do all the hexagons. If you want coordinating binding you will need ¼ yard for (3) 2 ¼” strips. ½ yard Backing fabric 60° Triangle Ruler- I used the Hex N More Ruler.
This tablerunner is made with one piece of striped fabric. I chose Michael Miller’s Clementine Big Stripe but any stripe fabric will work.
Cut 8 -3 ½” Strips lengthwise. Every strip will look different with this variegated stripe fabric making each hexagon unique.
Using the 60° Triangle Ruler, line up the top flat tip of the ruler on one edge of the strip and the 3 ½” Mark at the other edge of the strip.
Cut triangles across the strip flipping the ruler back and forth down the length of the strip. This will save fabric and give you two different striped hexagons. Cut 6 triangles in one direction and 6 in the other. Repeat on (8) 3 ½” Strips of fabric. This will give you a cuple of extra hexagons to play with when laying out your tablerunner. Putting the hexagons together is very easy. For each hexagon work with 6 matching triangles. Lay one triangle on top of another right sides together. Sew a ¼” seam allowance down one side.
Add the third triangle right sides together and sew ¼” seam allowance on the other side. direction as shown.
Press all seams one way, the same

Keep sewing the parts together in rows.
When you get all the rows sewn. Join the rows matching points by pinning first.
Layer backing, batting, and the table runner top. Baste and quilt as desired. I quilted around each hexagon. Bind using 2 ¼” strips. Enjoy!
