Hightown Primary News 2nd June 2015
Dear Parents and Carers, Read about all the exciting events that have happened recently! Picnic on the common On a lovely sunny Monday afternoon Giraffes and Elephants went on an adventure to Netley Common. The children had great fun playing parachute games, stuck in the mud and then had a delicious healthy picnic. They also enjoyed our delicious biscuits they decorated earlier in the day. Finally the children went on a secret woodland walk where they saw a den the Rocket Room had made! Dance Away A selection of year groups enjoyed testing their co-ordination on the dance mats this week. Competitions drew in some of the adults to have a go too! Over the last half term Giraffes and Elephants have been learning an under the sea dance with the brilliant Roni, dance coach! All the children enjoyed making different sea creatures and working in pairs to create a dance. Election Results Hightown had its own election last week to choose School Council Representatives for each year group. We had hustings and then each child entered the voting booth to complete a ballot paper to vote for their chosen candidate. Congratulations to the successful candidates who are:
