why does a good story need an antagonist?
Hero doesn’t stretch, grow, or get out of their comfort Zone
hero doesn’t learn to trust or invest in something bigger than themselves
You don’t know what’s at stake…what’s to be gained or what’s to be lost.
Hero would not be the hero without the enemy (antagonist).

The basic plot of the book of esther…
The Jews are trying to survive and hopefully thrive, and Haman wants to destroy them all.
Important to note…
According to the law of the persians, once the king issued a decree or law, it could not be receded.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. !
