Hockey Club Fairbanks HCF is seeking candidates for the following positions: Coaching Coordinator Reports to the Hockey Director Oversees the Lead Coaches of each Division Chairs the Coaching Selection Committee Responsible for education of all coaches Assists with Team Selection Process Player Development Coordinator Reports to Hockey Director Oversees all Player Development Specialties o Skating o Stickhandling o Off-ice Training o Goaltending o Checking introduction o Learn to Skate Program 1 & 2 Serves on Coaching Selection Committee Assists with Team Selection Process of all ages/tiers Lead Coaches 10U & Above (per division/girls teams) Reports directly to Coaching Coordinator Oversees coaches per specific age division/girls teams Serves on Coaching Selection Committee for specific division/girls teams Assists with Team Selection Process in specific division Will directly coordinate with ice scheduler to represent coaches that want more/different ice times Responsible to coordinating SBT plans and on/off-ice helpers Assures that the ice allocations are being followed (i.e. SBT, SP, Solo, Games) per specific division Mite Program Director Reports to Coaching Coordinator Oversees 6U & 8U Lead Coaches Assists with Team Selection Process of 6U & 8U Mite Lead Coach 6U Reports directly to Mite Coordinator Oversees coaches at the 6U level Assists with Team Selection Process in 6U Responsible to coordinating SBT plans and on/off-ice helpers Mite Lead Coach 8U
Reports directly to Mite Coordinator Oversees coaches at the 8U Assists with Team Selection Process in 8U Responsible to coordinating SBT plans and on/off-ice helpers Goaltending Coach Reports directly to Player Development Coordinator Role is to lead and improve the overall goalie program within our youth program Work with coaches on goalie education & development Schedule and plan goalie sessions Skating Coach Reports directly to Player Development Coordinator Role is to lead and improve the overall skating within our youth program Work with coaches on skating education & development Attend training sessions Learn to Skate Coordinator Reports directly to Player Development Coordinator Develop short and long term goals for program growth Schedule Learn to Skate session dates and promote participation Provide training for instructional staff, assistants and volunteers Monitor safety and implement safety rules/procedures for all sessions Develop and implement customer evaluations/surveys We are seeking candidates with previous coaching experience. Successful applicants are expected to uphold the HCF’s mission, and enforce proper fundamentals & sportsmanship. Stipends are provided for some positions.
