HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT I, _______________________________, acknowlegde that I have been advised of the risks involved in my son’s/daughter’s participation in the Wilkes University Basketball Camp and have been made aware that his/her participation in the camp may result in injur y or harm to my son/daughter and I assume responsibility for any and all such risk to my son/ daughter. In the event that my son/ daughter may sustain an injur y as a result of their participation in the camp program, I hereby agree to hold harmless Wilkes University, its directors, officers, coaches, athletic trainers, super visors, and any other employees or agents there of, for any and all such injuries. I affirmatively certif y that to the best of my knowledge, my son/daughter is in good mental and physical health and capable of participating in this activity. I have read and fully understand the contents of this “hold harmless” agreement and execute same voluntar y. STAFF CAMP DIRECTOR

Izzi Metz recently completed his fourth season as Wilkes men’s basketball head coach and has led the Colonels to the MAC Freedom postseason twice and championship game once over his tenure.

In just four seasons, Metz transformed the Wilkes squad into a MAC Freedom postseason contender finishing 11-3 in league play in 2017-18 earning the conference’s top seed in the postseason tournament, the first time the Colonels finished in the top spot since 2000. For his efforts Metz was named MAC Freedom Coach of the Year as the Colonels finished the regfular season with an 18-7 overall record. Two years prior in 2015-16, Metz led the team on a run to the championship game for the first time since 2011-12. He also has mentored six All-MAC Freedom selections over the past four seasons. Metz came to Wilkes after three years at Division I and Atlantic Coast Conference member Boston College starting as the Director of Basketball Operations in 2011 before moving to an assistant coach role in 2014. Prior to his time at Boston College, Metz ser ved five successful seasons as head coach at Division III Hobart College in Geneva, N.Y. where he guided the Statesmen to a Liberty League regular season championship and ECAC Upstate tournament title in 2010-11. *Current members of the Wilkes University basketball team will also ser ve as staff members

PHILOSOPHY About the Camp

The Wilkes University basketball camp places an emphasis on creating a fun, educational experience for ever y camper. Campers will be taught the fundamentals of basketball in a safe, positive environment through stations, guest speakers, games and competitions.
