Dear parents, In response to the federal government's crackdown on undocumented immigrants, Mayor Bill de Blasio has set a policy to protect undocumented students in New York City schools. Among other protections, the policy bars immigration agents from entry into schools unless they have a signed warrant. Read the story on the UFT website General Announcements:

NYC School Survey If you haven’t already completed your NYC School Survey, it’s not too late! Every year, all parents, teachers, and students in grades 6-12 complete the NYC School Survey, ranking it among the largest ever conducted nationally. Through this confidential survey, you can provide your school with valuable feedback and input on how well it is meeting the needs of your child, in areas like instruction, safety, and family engagement. Don’t miss your opportunity to tell us what you think! This year, the survey ends on Friday, April 7. So please complete the paper survey provided to you, or complete the survey online at www.nycschoolsurvey.org. To take the survey online, you will need your survey access code located on the bottom right-hand corner of the paper survey that has been provided to you by your child’s school. If you cannot find your paper survey, please call or e-mail Mrs. Rodriguez our Parent Coordinator to get the access code or please call the survey hotline at 1-800-690-8603 We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
