GASTON COUNTY TOWNSHIP GRANTS UPDATE

The City of Gastonia received funding for several projects from Gaston County as part of the “Township Grant Program”. City departments will be hosting ribbon cutting events to celebrate the completion of these projects. Farmers Market Expansion 100 foot pole shed with site improvements. With the additional space, the Farmers Market is targeting to attract more artists, crafts people, and other vendors who sell non-produce goods to broaden the appeal and the customer base of the market. The pole shed will accommodate ten 10foot vendor spaces. The ribbon cutting is Thursday, May 18th at 8:30am. Light refreshments will follow the ceremony. Smyre Millennium Park Additions     

New playground (6 pieces) New mulch New benches and picnic tables (ordered) Landscaping Stream restoration (minimal)

The ribbon cutting is Saturday, May 20th at 10:00am for Smyre Millennium Park.

The ribbon cutting is Saturday, May 20th at 12:00pm for I.C. Falls Park.
