Teams   

Goal to have at least one team at each grade level: 5th grade, 6th grade, 7th grade, 8th grade 10-12 girls per team, athletes may play up if ability is demonstrated There will be a mandatory parent meeting for those selected after tryouts. At that time the first payment of $250 will be due.

Practice    

Practices will be held January-March with a couple dates in December if we can fit them in 2 practices per week 1 ½ hour-2 hour practices Held at any HSE District School (probably will rotate based on availability)

Playing Time   

Playing time is dependent on players who take the clubs philosophy to heart and abide by the key concepts set by the club. No preferential treatment: it’s not about who you know, but how you practice and play. Actions that will reduce playing time include: unexcused absences, not being focused and not working hard during practices or games; exhibiting poor sportsmanship towards others, and bringing a bad attitude onto the court or not being a good TEAM player!

Tournaments    

Except for the 5th grade team, all TNT teams will have 8 to 10 tournament days. All tournaments are on weekends. Some will be one day tournaments, some will be two day. Parents are responsible for all transportation of athletes to and from all tournaments, not coaches. Parents can pitch in for meals during long days or each individual player can be responsible, up to teams.

Academics   

ALWAYS COME FIRST! Communicate with your player the need for them to prioritize and plan their time wisely. All required school functions take priority over club, AAU/YMCA/ETC… DO NOT!

Fees  

Parent Responsibilities 

  

Parents are encouraged to support their children and become involved in the development of this club. TNT is dedicated to the improvement of your athlete’s abilities and we encourage parent participation in all aspects of this club. Parents are asked NOT TO get too emotionally tied to winning or losing; the amount of playing time their child or another player on the team is getting; players having good or bad days on the court; and actions by the opponents or officials. We ask that parents set a great example by following the club’s philosophy to the best of their ability during club activities. Please encourage your child to be an advocate for themselves. If they have any questions about their skills or playing time, encourage them to speak to their coach first before you do. 24 hour rule – If you have an issue with a coach; please wait 24 hours before contacting the coach. This will allow you time to “cool off” before something is said that can’t be taken back.
