This week we have had to close Llanenddwyn, Dyffryn because a significant part of the ceiling has come down (right over the minister's stall!), with other sections soon to follow. Presumably this has been exacerbated by the recent winds. The section is about 2 inches thick and could have caused considerable injury. From this Sunday therefore, the congregation will be worshipping at the Church Hall, Dyffryn. Please pray for the congregation as they make their temporary worshipping home in a new place. (The Remembrance service on the 8th November will be held in Llanddwywe)

This weeks readings: for those NOT having harvest Amos 5. 6,7,10-15,

Refugee Collection - Thank you for the continuing donations for refugees being collected at St Tanwgs, Harlech. Items currently needed include Mens and Boys clothes, Sleeping Bags, Blankets, Tents, Firewood, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Soap, Razors, Combs, Tissues, Shaving Foam, Plastic Plates, Plastic Cups, Can Openers, Saucepans. Can you help shift items from St Tanwg’s to the ‘bookies’ at Manod from where they are taken to Tad Deiniol’s Orthodox Church each evening for sorting? Next lorry load is going to Kos. Our Harvest Collections will be going to Christian Aids Refugee Appeal

Please also keep the refugee crisis in your prayers Merciful God, We pray for all whose desperation leads them to the sea, to undertake perilous voyages, often following dangerous journeys over land: those escaping brutal wars, those fleeing religious persecution, those escaping climate disasters and economic ruin, those looking for hope in a hopeless situation. May we look beyond our own fears and concerns to the needs of those who have nothing, risk everything and depend on the kindness of strangers. May our hearts be opened, our leaders be challenged and our self- interest be called out, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Our Mission Partner, Bridget, is now in Eldoret , Kenya, for 10weeks. Please pray for her health (it’s at 7000 ft and cold at night) ; for the disability work; for ‘Wheels for the World’; for donors to be found for operations for children to improve their mobility, (can we help with Christmas donations? Beth ). Ongoing prayer too please for Burundi, especially for the Bethesda Disability Projects and for peace and stability there. Finally , please pray that an impending El Nino will be weak and pass quickly. ‘Thank you for your prayers and support. I assure you I do pray for all my supporting churches and individuals. With my love, Bridget ‘
