I sing a song of my sadness The sad song that I sing Sings such sorrow singing the songs Of sweet yesterdays and of a sad tomorrow For the sad song sings of such sadness Sings of madness that now is and will be Form the pain that’s so deep Hurting inside of me I sing of this sadness but shall rejoice Because I have sung of the sorrowful sadness I have now also found my peaceful voice And have lost all the tears Along with my frightful fears As the sad song sung has now brought cheers Of you holding on for 91 years Written by: Bobby Mac

Don’t grieve for me; for now I’m free, I’m following the path God has laid for me. I took His hand when I heard him call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play, tasks left undone must stay that way, I found peace at the end of the day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, oh yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow, my life’s been full, I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, don’t lengthen it now with undue grief, lift up your hearts, and share with me, God wanted me NOW, He has set me free.
