IAAP-Peninsula Chapter Presents Sgt. Michael L. Cole “It’s All About You?” The Orange Frog Mike lives in the Deep Creek section of Chesapeake with his wife Pam, and six year old son Hunter. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Administration of Justice, a BA from Saint Leo University and is currently working on his Master’s in Public Administration at Troy University. Mike has been employed with the Chesapeake Police Department for thirteen years. His professional experience includes Uniform Patrol, Community policing and Vice/Narcotics. In 2006, Mike was promoted to Sergeant and has supervised personnel in uniform patrol, dispatch and now the training academy. His career goal is to retire at or above the rank of Captain. Our session today is based on the book, The Orange Frog, by author Shawn Achor. Through Shawn’s research in the field of positive psychology it has been noted that, “our level of happiness and positive outlook is directly correlated to predicable levels of sustainable success.” This story about creating a workforce capable of performing at high levels and generating a competitive advantage! Michael Erbach currently works with Mason & Associates as part of the financial planning team. Michael joined Mason & Associates in October 2011, following his retirement from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Michael served in local and federal law enforcement for over 32 years, rising to the FBI’s Senior Executive Service in 2009. He also served as National Program Manager for the FBI’s Victim Assistance and Asset Forfeiture Programs. Following the attacks of September 11, 2001, Michael’s role in the FBI shifted to national security, managing special task forces. Michael received his BA degree from Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago, Illinois. He attended executive leadership courses at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, and the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch, Germany. In this session with Mike we will discuss protecting your personal information. Who are you? Michael will speak to credit and internet protection for yourself and your family. Through many of his experiences Michael has warranted knowledge of scam artists and how they prey on the uninformed. Come and learn to protect your personal identity!
