Com Dangles Installation Instructions Option A Follow all appropriate safety precautions when installing Com Dangles. Always wear eye protection and beware of sharp ends when handling ceiling wire. 1. Secure 12 gauge ceiling wire to the underside of the above floor with appropriate connection depending on material. Lag screw for wood, TEK screw for pan deck, pin and clip for concrete, etc. 2. Break off end cap at end of Com Dangle CD12 and attach to dangling end of ceiling wire. This will aid in stringing the ceiling wire through the eyelets of the CD12 and make handling the ceiling wire safer. 3. Bend the ceiling wire around the low voltage cables and wrap it around itself TWICE forming a circle or tear drop shape with the CD12 resting inside and secured in place by the eyelets. 4. Tie second length of ceiling wire to bottom of wire loop as shown in photo, and attach to ceiling grid below with appropriate connection. Weight Capacity: 20 lbs. Can hold up to a 4” bundle of low voltage cables (CAT5, CAT5E, CAT6, Fiber Optic) ****Note**** Customer is responsible for conforming to all governing codes and regulations as well as those required by the jobsite.
