Integrating Your POS to Poynt | A Primer Our Step-by-Step Process to a Seamless Integration

Poynt’s POS Integration capability has allowed businesses, small and large, to easily wrap a beautiful payment experience around their POS. This lets businesses capitalize on modern features like NFC payments (eg Apple Pay), EMV compliance, and pay at the table capabilities. Please follow our steps below to ensure a smooth integration. 1. Ensure your POS is Compatible With Our Solution a. We currently support Micros, Aloha, NCR and Dinerware. b. Additional Considerations - We do not support Windows XP Terminals at present - For Aloha, we require “Aloha Connect” to be installed - For Micros 3700, we require a “SIM” license to be present

2. Ensure your Poynt Device is Activated and Connected a. Ensure you have the device and it is configured to accept payments b. We recommend that your Poynt device is connected to a private wireless network that is separate from the public-facing wifi c. Your Poynt device must be able to connect to your back-of-house POS systems with the wireless network it is configured on

3. Gather Your Device and POS Credentials a. Have your Poynt MID & TID information prepared b. Ensure you have all of the required POS credentials ready: - Windows admin password - POS config, database passwords, and firewall access - Poynt HQ credentials

4. Contact Poynt to Setup Your Installation a. Go to poynt.com/posintegration and fill out the required information. A Poynt team member will contact you to answer your questions and set up an integration appointment. b. Ensure you book your appointment after your business is closed - Installation typically takes approximately 5-60 minutes,depending on the POS
