How can I help successfully implement this Integration Plan?

1. Maintain meeting schedule by prioritizing them above all other daily/weekly tasks. 2. Use tools towards beginning of meetings to assure implementation before the meeting ends. 3. Meet/talk with Culture Coach 5 min. prior to each meeting to review responsiblities.

Customizing Your Integration Plan Customize the Culture Management Tools to your team's needs by developing a Team Integration Plan. Plan to work at least one or up to all four of the tools into every key meeting as appropriate and choose how each tool is used according to three activity types: Do It, Report It, Evaluate It.

ACTIVITY TYPES

There is more than one way to use a tool. Select the type that best suits each meeting.

Do It

Report It

Evaluate It

Team members pair up and take five to ten minutes and exchange one-on-one Focused Feedback.

Ask team members to report on recent feedback exchanges (how many they've had, what they found valuable, what they are doing to act on it, etc.)

Assess how frequently the team and the organization are using the tool and what effect it is having.

The team leader initiates the Focused Storytelling and asks for two or three others to share stories.

Team members briefly describe instances where they used the Focused Storytelling tool.

Have the team assess the quality of the stories and whether those stories signal C2 beliefs and actions.

Pass out the Focused Recognition cards and ask each team member to identify someone to be recognized for demonstrating C2. Each person fills out their card and then delivers it as soon as possible after the meeting.

Ask the team:

“How many of you have given out a Focused Recognition Card this week?"

Have the team evaluate how well the recognition is supporting R2, C2 and the Cultural Beliefs.

As a team, answer the Focused Accountability questions (see page 59) to create a Type 1 Experience for your organization.

Ask the team to report on the shifts they are working to make and the Type I Experiences they are creating.

As a team, evaluate how well you are creating Type 1 Experiences and brainstorm ideas for improvement.

CULTURE COACH

"Who have you given a Focused Recognition card to and what did you recognize them for?”

Coaches can be any member of the team, and can vary by meeting.

1. Agree with the leader on how and when the coaching will take place. (Coach them and the team at the end of the meeting.) 2. Evaluate how well the leader and the team applied the Team Integration Plan (exactness of language, tool usage, and grounding team engagement and involvement). Coach both the team and the leader. • Be constructive and positive

• Be candid

• Make suggestions

• Hold them accountable
