Hello! We’re Arbiter. Arbiter is a venture-backed startup creating intelligent tools for developers to increase monetization and user engagement in their games. Our first offering, Cash Challenges, launched in October 2014, using data and ingenuity to bring real-money gaming to singleplayer experiences.
Rewarding Players for Being Good At Games Arbiter rewards players for being good at games. More specifically: ✦
Arbiter offers Cash Challenges to players, asking them to put cash on the line to prove their skills.
✦
We track player behaviors and programmatically set challenge goals for an ideal balance of engagement and monetization.
✦
For developers, we provide a turnkey solution that drops seamlessly into your games, allowing you to overcome the technological and regulatory hurdles of real-money gaming.

Benefiting Developers & Publishers Introducing Cash Challenges to your players has immediate benefits: ✦
Increased monetization, lifting ARPU and LTV.
✦
A new, naturally sticky feature to retain current – and re-engage lapsed – players.
✦
The ability to repurpose existing game content with fresh gameplay mechanics.
Getting Started Takes About a Day What will Arbiter cost you? About a day’s worth of work. Using our out-of-the box UI, you can be up and testing Arbiter within a day. From there, you can take as long as you like to customize the user experience to match your game.
A Closer Look
How it Works: Step by Step ✦
Arbiter looks at individual player data to calculate appropriate challenges, continually tuning for optimal win rates.
✦
Cash challenges are then served to players at opportune moments of your choosing within the game.
✦
Players pay entry fees to accept these challenges, with a portion of each entry fee going to you, the developer.
✦
If a player wins, Arbiter pays the reward.
✦
If the player loses, the remaining entry fee funds future challenges.
✦
At all times, Arbiter fully accepts the risk in covering rewards.
Arbiter is Not Gambling Arbiter only permits games of skill – games whose outcomes are not defined by randomness or chance – to operate on the Arbiter platform. Because games of skill rely on a player's abilities and not on chance to determine a game's outcome, games of skill are not considered gambling in most states in the US. Further information, including state-by-state documentation and definitions, is available at www.arbiter.me/is-not-gambling.
Founding Team Arbiter was founded by brothers and lifelong gamers Andy and August Zinsser in 2013, with early investments from Boost VC and Tandem Capital. Recognizing the potential for real-money gambling mechanics to increase monetization and user engagement in mobile games, Arbiter created a turnkey solution allowing developers to overcome the technological and regulatory hurdles of real-money gaming. Unlike cash tournaments, which focus exclusively on multiplayer, these “cash challenges” use data and ingenuity to bring real-money gaming to singleplayer experiences.
