Invitation to Participate in the JOLT! Gallery 2017 Dear Richmond Hill Studio Tours Artists The Jolt! Gallery will continue as part of TAVES and we will have even more space to accommodate our growth. Growth was our problem after the success of 2016. We had over 7,600 visitors this past year. For 2016, the largest venue in the area was the Sheraton Parkway Hotel. We have outgrown this facility and after a great deal of research, we are now located at the Toronto Congress Centre. This venue will accommodate our growth expectations for 2017 and beyond. YRAC continues to be a supporter. This vision will allow artists to promote their work beyond York Region and expose your talent to Toronto and Mississauga. I believe this is an opportunity for artists and artist groups to expand your reach beyond York Region. This is an opportunity to show and sell your work and to continue working with you to demonstrate the outreach beyond our local area. We anticipate 10,000 visitors over the three days for October 13-15, 2017. This growth will come from York Region, Toronto, Mississauga and beyond. York Region has been our home for the JOLT! Gallery for a few years and we would like to maintain our relationship and consider this a way to expand the Artist communities in York Region. As in previous years, there is no fee to hang your works and no commissions to be paid for any art works sold during or after the show. The ‘Call for Participation’ follows:

Call To Artists for Participation TAVES Exhibition October 13-17, 2017 TAVES (JOLT! Gallery), which is being promoted as “Canada’s Ultimate Consumer Electronics Show” has moved to the Toronto Congress Centre this year, and is scheduled for the weekend of October 13th – 15th. Last year’s attendance at the Sheraton Parkway was over 7,600 visitors. For 2016, the largest venue in the area was the Sheraton Parkway Hotel. We have outgrown this facility and after a great deal of research, we are now located at the Toronto Congress Centre. Parking is free and just off the highway. The audio-video event has expanded over the past few years to interactive robotic workshops for children, digital illustration and art, plus VR, with an expectation of over 10,000. TAVES has approached us to facilitate the creation of an art gallery to compliment the range of high end innovative technology being presented at this amazing show. They have requested that this be a curated “art gallery” type exhibition with a primary focus on showcasing Studio Tour Artists from the

Richmond Hill Studio Tour since its inception and other York Region Artist groups. There will also be opportunities for artists to do demonstrations during the event at pre-agreed times. We hope that this is a successful opportunity to make connections with art buyers, and build awareness of the studio tour for following years and all other Artist Communities. Each artist will be responsible for handling their own sales during the TAVES event and potential buyers will be asked to contact the artist directly. However, artwork cannot be removed during the show under any circumstances. Delivery can only take place after the show. Eligibility: Must be a member of a current Artist Group or studio tour artist or have been a studio tour artist in the past 12 years. TAVES has requested Fine Art that is intended to be hung on a wall be submitted for this event. There is a limited opportunity for appropriate sculpture and this year it has been expanded to include digital art and illustration. Exhibition calendar: (All deadlines are final-no late submissions, drop off/pick up’s accepted. If you are unable to drop off or pick up during the allocated time, please make arrangements with another exhibiting artist or relative to drop off or collect your painting(s) for you.) Sept 29
