Junior Data Analyst - Summer Intern

DURATION:

June 5, 2017 to August 25, 2017

LOCATION:

2450 Milltower Court, Mississauga, ON

RATE OF PAY: $15 per hour ___________________________________________________________________________________________ With funding from the Canadian government through Canada Summer Jobs, we are looking for a student to join our project team for a 12-week period, 35 hours per week. Job Description: Under the supervision and mentorship of the Project Manager and Lead Configuration Consultant, the Junior Data Analyst will learn how to work with different tools and techniques relating to data export, and transformation and import for different business systems. The successful candidate will also learn how to produce reports from different systems using reporting and integration tools. Key Responsibilities:     

Work with the project team to perform ETL (Export, Transform, and Load) functions to populate data from the old system to the new system Work with the data schema to re-arrange/prepare historical data from various sources and forms into new data sets in preparation for data input Check data accuracy, as instructed, to ensure accurate and correct data is in the system after each import Create a simple report, as instructed, to assist the project team to complete the data migration by end of summer Work with the Project Manager to produce Quality Assurance test case

Qualifications & Experience:    

Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment Registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year, and intend to return to school on a fulltime basis in September 2017 Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
