Jesus showed love to everyone he met. He’s an example I’ll never forget. At school we’ll be learning… This month we’ll be learning about our senses, body, and teeth. The preschoolers will learn about how our bodies work and look at X rays to see the bones in our body. We will learn how Jesus can heal our bodies and read stories in the Bible of when Jesus healed many people. We will also talk about loving each other and taking care of our neighbors. Jesus loves us and we show love to others like Jesus shows love to us. We will celebrate Valentine’s Day and show love to our friends at school. The students will be singing “Jesus Loves Me” and other songs about God’s great love for us this month.
Snow Day Reminders If Hermantown Public Schools close due to weather, we will also close. If Hermantown has a late start due to weather, our morning class will be cancelled but afternoon class will still have school that day. Please listen to the news/radio those mornings. Thanks!
Coming up in March Tuesday, March 6th 6:00–7:30 p.m. 2018/2019 Preschool Registration and Open House. Current students/siblings will be given the opportunity to register before we open registration to the public on March 6th. Registration packets will go home following winter break.
No school dates: February 15-23 President’s Day /Winter Break *Please note Peace in Christ Preschool is closed two extra days, due to teachers vacation schedule.
Tuition Reminders Monthly tuition payments are due the 5th day of each month. Thank you
Valentine’s Day Party at school February 14th is Valentine’s Day! We will have a time during school to pass out valentines. If your child wishes to bring valentines to school, we ask that one be brought for each student in their class. Your child does not need to address valentines to individual students, but his/her name should be on each card (either you or your child can write his/her name). We look forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day! NO PEANUT/TREE NUTS The 2 Day Class will have their party on Tuesday, February 13th. There are 14 students in the class. The 3 Day Class will have their party on Wednesday, February 14th. There are 14 students in the class. The 5 Day Class will have their party on Wednesday, February 14th. There are 9 students in the class.
1st Week in February: Groundhog’s Day/Senses/Dental Day Jesus Heals the Blind Man
2nd Week in February: My Body Jesus Heals the Dead Girl & The 10 Lepers
This week’s theme is about the senses and the story of when Jesus healed a blind man. It is fun to use our five senses: seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, and feeling. God has given us these senses. God created us and he wants us to take care of our bodies. We will learn how to take care of our teeth and have good dental hygiene.
God created each of us and gave us the body we have. We will learn about our bones, muscles, and organs. The preschoolers will look at X rays and read books about how our bodies work. We will talk about keeping our bodies healthy and strong. The preschoolers will also learn about how Jesus can heal our bodies. We will read the Bible and see how Jesus healed many people.

4th Week in February: U.S. History/Geography Jesus’ Miracles
This week’s theme is about Valentine’s Day and the Good Samaritan. It is nice to show appreciation and affection to others. Preschoolers will learn that it is important to love family and friends, but also to be a good neighbor to everyone we meet. God wants us to love everyone and take care of each other. Skills Practiced This Week:
The preschoolers will learn about the U.S. Presidents like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. They will also learn more about the different states in our country. We will discuss important landmarks, major cities, and special characteristics of different states. The preschoolers will also learn more about God’s Word and sing songs about the Bible as we talk about Jesus’ mighty power and miracles!
