JOHN DEERE 1700 SERIES WITH XP ROW UNITS STARTER FERTILIZER TUBE PART # 38180 (GXSSTJD17XP) (Read Instructions Completely before Beginning Installation)
Installation Steps: Before you begin, verify the “package contents” to ensure all items are included.
Step #1: Step #2:
Remove depth gauge wheels and discs, taking note of shim placement. Remove factory seed tube guard.
Step #3:
Install new AgXcel Part # 38180 (GXSSTJD17XP).
Step #4:
Bend centering tab against row shank.
Step #5:
Tap centering tab with mallet to firmly hold tube centered.
Step #6:
Re-install disc openers, making sure you have correct shim placement.
AgXcel recommends replacing disc openers when you put fertilizer tubes on.
