Eileen Johnson, 87, lifelong resident of the Warren area, passed away on Monday morning, January 18, 2016, in North Valley Health Center, Warren, MN. Eileen Marilyn Stinar was born on April 14, 1928, in Warren, to Thomas Jr. and Esther (Nelson) Stinar. She was raised in the Tabor area and attended grade school at the Farley Township Country School. Eileen graduated from Warren High School and went on to attend Aakers Business College in Fargo. Upon graduating, she returned home and worked at The State Bank of Warren. On November 14, 1953, Eileen was united in marriage to Harvey Johnson. They lived in town for one year before moving to the family farm, where she would live for the rest of her life. In addition to working at the bank for seven years, Eileen was very active in the community. She was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School for a number of years and was a past president of the First Lutheran Church Women. She was also past president of the American Legion Auxillary and bowled for Howard Seed Farm. She loved doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, sewing and quilting, and spending time with her family; the last of these being the most important of all. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and friend and will be greatly missed. Eileen is survived by her husband of over 62 years, Harvey; children, Greg (Sandy) Johnson of Warren, Laurie (Russell) Steer of Euclid, MN, and Brad (Darlene Osse) Johnson of Warren; grandchildren, Natasha Osowski, Tyler Johnson, Brianna Pulkrabek, Jason, Jerod, Nathan, and Joshua Steer, Miles Johnson, and Lillian Johnson; and ten greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Wallace (Minnie) Stinar.
