BELONG What is one trait you picked up as a child that you still have today?
When you meet someone for the first time, what characteristics do you look for to know whether or not they are a Christian?
GROW Read Luke 18:917. Contrast the three different types of persons in this passage (Pharisee, Tax collector and Children). a. Which person(s) was respected by society? Which person(s) was disrespected by society? Why? b. Which person(s) had the most knowledge of God? c. Which person(s) had the most accurate view of God? d. What is the defining characteristic of each person’s approach to God? e. Why do you think each of the persons in this passage came to God? In what ways are you like the Pharisee, the Tax Collector and the little children? Based on this passage, what attitudes is God looking for in those who are close to Him? Read Eph 2: 810. Based on this passage, how are we reconciled with God? Once we are reconciled, what should our relationship with Christ produce?
