Finances In order to keep the congregation better informed the council decided to publish the finances each month. We need $300 per Sunday to meet our budget. This figure is arrived at by dividing the budget by 52 Sundays. Income for April (Last Month Available to be Published) April 1 $ 239.00 April 22 143.00 Aprils 195.00 April 29 60.00 April 15 No Church because of snow
Communion We will have communion on the Sunday's/Other Services when we have an ordained minister with us. On other Sunday's Jason Meyer or Richard Pulcher will be serving us, no communion on these Sunday's. Those serving us and communion dates are subject to change.
Visitation At this time we do not have a full time pastor. If you would like a visit from a pastor or are in need of other services, Jason Meyer has agreed to be the primary contact at this time. A Note from Bonnie Weber June greetings to all of St. John's saints - the month of May has been busy, busy with no signs of letting up when the calendar page turns to June. From May 15 to the 22nd, I was in Denver with our oldest daughter, Laura and her husband, Steve. Our number two son, Douglas, was there too. Among other sights in the Denver area, we visited the Botanical Gardens which was so interesting and beautiful. Two weddings were going on in the lovely surroundings with the weather perfect to begin with but soon clouded up. No rain, so ceremonies were completed with the breath-taking mountain range in the background. You can't be in a setting like that without marveling at the handwork of God. As I stood gazing at those majestic peaks, I thought about the presence of God, always in our lives, but so especially for our family during this past year and a half. The strength of God keeping us all strengthened from day to day. This coming Sunday, May 27, is Trinity Sunday. Your service will be ended by the time you read this, but John 3:1-17 is the emphasis. The last sentence in the Christ in Our Home devotional for the day reads: Since the Father was so gracious to send the Son and offer us new birth in the Spirit, our identity in God is all that matters. How true that is! All we need to do is take a deep breath, relax and trust God to take care of us and whatever comes our way will be taken care of. We have to believe that! God's grace abounds! Thanks be to God for all the love and care we could possibly need is there for the asking. Ask and you shall receive ! A blessed and safe summer to all of you. Bonnie Weber
