Jurisdictional Sustainability Targets in Central Kalimantan All palm producers are certified as sustainable in 2019 – including smallholders Achieving deforestation and emission reduction targets by 80% in 2020 (of 2001 – 2006 baseline rate) Increasing deforestation welfare fo smallholders farmers and protection of indigenous rights Working market and non-market incentives mechanisms sustainable sourcing, investment and public finance
RSPO Jurisdictional Certification Approach RSPO has endorsed 2 jurisdictions as pilots in jurisdictional certification, the State of Sabah in Malaysia and the province of Central Kalimantan, focusing in 2 districts: Seruyan and Kotawaringin Barat INOBU is working closely with the RSPO, of which is now developing a draft 0 in setting up the system for jurisdictional certification RSPO jurisdictional certification is planned to be awarded to a jurisdiction that complies with some or all sustainability criteria in the exsting standards. Jurisdictional certification will not replace mill-to-mill certification (yet).
