Sea Kayaking - Hermanus Tour Description: Explore the magic of our unique coastline & Walker Bay Whale sanctuary up close & personal in one of our stable kayaks in the company of an experienced guide. Glide across sparkling water while marveling at the majestic cliffs and sea life. From June til December you have the opportunity to see the Southern Right whale within the whale sanctuary from your kayak. Other possible sighting throughout the year include cape fur seals, dolphins, penguins and a variety of sea birds. Itinerary: We depart from the Old Harbour in Marine Drive, Hermanus and hug the coastline all the way to the New Harbour from where we take a direct route back towards the Old Harbour. Our experienced guide will open up the wonders of the ocean to you with interesting relevant information regarding the marine life of Walker Bay. The route can change at any time depending on wind or swell. Price: R350 per person. (July to November R400 per person) Departure times: May to October: 9am, 11h30am and 2pm. November to April: 8am, 10h30am and 1pm Duration: The trip will take 2 hours of the client’s time. Time on the water, after check in and through safety briefing, is roughly 1 hour 30 minutes. Season: Every day, weather depending Group size: Minimum 2 persons, maximum 19 persons per departure. We can Accommodate bigger groups by splitting them into back-to-back trips.
