We are pleased to announce our sixth Striker / Keeper Camp. Many teams do not have the resources to specifically train the goalkeepers. Yet having a goalkeeper minding your net that is schooled on proper technique will make far more routine saves look easier and a few tougher ones look routine.

PHS GK Coach Katelyn Gristick along with recent graduates Julia Hulbert, Shannon Kriz, Becky Webster, Regan Allsop hold or share almost all the schools goalkeeping records. They are excited to help your child develop better goalkeeping starting positions, foot work and hand position, HEH principle, shot blocking, parrying, diving and distribution. Current PHS HS GK’s will be there to assist Coach Gristick, Hulbert, Kriz and Webster.

Parkland striker / keeper / Team camp No keeper’s camp is over till the GOALIE WARS CHAMPION is crowned.

Thursday, can they beat the goalkeepers?! PHS Staff Coach’s along with some of the top scorers & Players in PHS history, will focus on proper footwork enabling a more consistent and stronger strike on the ball. Receiving the ball with your back to goal and making better tactical runs will be some of the areas they will address at camp. Every player needs to become a more attacking and dangerous player so whether you are a forward, midfielder or back, you will greatly benefit from this instruction. Campers will have very specific technical skills training that they will be able to go home and practice on their own to improve.

Players should be dressed in soccer attire, shorts, shirt, spikes, shinguards, gloves (if keeper). Players should bring a ball and water bottle. If an actual bottle, please have their name on it and on their ball. Camp is held at Parkland High School on the Soccer Training Field. (This field is adjacent to the soccer stadium. Please arrive on Sunday by 5:45pm. We are looking forward to continue our work with the players in our community. You are our future! Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions. A tremendous amount of repetition in front of a goal will excite the players as the thrill of scoring is as great in practice as it is in games. Speaking of games, there are daily games where the players need to execute that days learned technique and of course…the final games on
