This a story for Janet to help explain to Gabriella why she is not able to live with her brothers and sisters

To my dear amazing Gabriella When you grew in mummy’s tummy it was just you and me and all your brothers.

When you came out of mummy’s tummy we all thought you were amazing.

Mummy loved her dumplings very very much but sometimes she found it hard to look after you all on my own. Silly mummy

Ethan wanted to go and live with his dad and we were all sad.

Ethan waving goodbye to us all

After Ethan left mummy found it sad sometimes. Mummy started to drink wine. It was naughty of mummy and it didn’t make me a good mummy when I drank wine.

One day Mummy met Wally. He made me happy and was very nice to all of Mummy’s dumplings. You liked him very much. Wally

Tyler started to grow in mummy’s tummy. Wally was his daddy.

Tyler was born. He popped out of mummy’s tummy

Mummy found it a bit difficult after Tyler was born because I was mostly on my own again.

One day when mummy was very sad, I was very naughty and drank too much wine. Mummy couldn’t look after her dumplings. Silly mummy!

Wally took Tyler to his flat to look after him while mummy was not well.

Jayden took Kieran and David to his flat while mummy was not well.

You went to stay with Nanny and Grandad.

When everyone went to different homes it made you very sad. You missed your brothers and mummy very much.

All your Aunts and Uncles, Nan and Grandad, Melissa and Jackie helped mummy to get better.

I started to go to school like you. It helped me to stop drinking wine. I don’t like it any more! Yuk!!

Mummy has learnt to be a better mummy for all her dumplings. You are so good at everything now. Mummy thinks that you are amazing! Gabriella going too high on the swing

The Approach ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦

Didn’t make her feel she was a bad Mum Given the opportunity to change Haven’t expected change to happen overnight Recognised that there might be a “wobble” again, but there is a plan to make it safe enough
