KGC Foundation Golf Day Sunday 25th February 2018 EVENT OUTLINE • The KGC Foundation Team ‘Gentsomes’ is open to men and women and will be played as a 4 Person Team 'Gentsomes' event over 18 holes, for a maximum of 120 amateur players. • Play will commence via a multi-tee start at 1:00pm. • Handicap Limit: 36 (Men), 45 (Women) • Entrance Fee - $80 (Members) – Per Player - $120 (Non Members) – Per Player - $60 (Dinner Only) • Includes: - 2 Course Dinner - On Course BBQ - Gift Pack on Arrival • Longest Drive Competition, Straightest Drive & Nearest to Pins • Entries Close at 5.00pm on Wednesday 21st February 2018 or when capacity field is reached. • Entries will be accepted on an as received basis. KGC FOUNDATION GOLF DAY
1.1
Eligible players are male and female amateurs whose Australian Handicap at the time of entry does not exceed 36 strokes (Male) 45 stokes (Female) and in accordance with the Australian Handicapping System.

The 2018 KGC Foundation Golf Day event is scheduled to be played over 18 holes, 4 person Team ‘Gentsomes’, on Sunday 25th November 2018.

The field for the Event will be limited to 120 amateur players and accepted on an as received basis.

The winning ‘Gentsome’ team with the lowest gross score shall receive a trophy.
The runner-up gross and nett score shall receive a trophy. Additional trophies will be awarded as follows: - Nearest to Pins for: 4th, 11th, 14th & 18th - Longest Drive Comp on 12th (Men and Ladies) - Straightest Drive Competition on the 5th (Men and Ladies)

All ties shall be decided by count-back as recommended by Golf Australia.

ENTRIES: The Event Committee shall have the right to refuse the entry of any person without being required to give any reason for such refusal. Entrance fees must be paid at the time of entry. Any entrant may withdraw and have his entrance fee refunded providing that notification is received by the time that entries close. All entries must be accompanied by either a current handicap record verified by the club or GolfLink Number. Entries shall only be made on the official entry form unless otherwise permitted by the Event Committee.
PACE OF PLAY:
DRESS STANDARDS: Players and caddies must observe the dress standards of Kew Golf Club.
In the event of bad weather, or for any other reason, the Event Committee may shorten the competition, appoint another day or days for completion. Protests must be made to the Event Committee not later than 10 minutes after the conclusion of each round. The decision of the Event Committee will be final in all matters relating to the Tournament.
PRACTICE:
Rule 6-7 will be strictly enforced. Each group must maintain its position on the course with respect to the group preceding them. Any group with a clear hole in front of them will be considered out of position. Penalties will be issued to individuals in such groups who by their pace contribute to such delay. Warnings may not be issued prior to penalties.
EVENT COMMITTEE: The Event Committee shall consist of representatives of the Kew Golf Club and an additional person(s) as may be nominated by the Kew Match Committee. In the absence of the full Event Committee, such members thereof as may be present at any time may give a decision of the full Event Committee. The Event Committee reserves the right to vary any condition of this event.
HONORARY MEMBERS:
No practice rounds are available at the Kew Golf Club prior to the even, unless the player is the guest of a Kew Golf Club member.
Handicap is 1/8th of combined handicap A minimum of 3 Tee Shots shall be used by each member.
DRAW AND STARTING TIME:
Competitors will be made Honorary Members of the Kew Golf Club for the day. 7.

RULES:
A draw will be made by the Event Committee. The Committee has the power to amend the draw or substitute another player for any competitor who is not at the tee at the time for any player. However, it is a condition of the competition that, in the absence of circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification as provided in Rule 33-7, if the player arrives at his starting point, ready to play within five minutes of his starting time, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the first hole in stroke play instead of disqualification.
The winning ‘Gentsome’ team with the lowest nett score shall receive a trophy.

The competition shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as adopted by R&A Rules Limited, together with such local rules as are in force on the course over which the competition rounds are being played. If any dispute arises on any point, it shall be decided by the Event Committee whose decision shall be final. All players are required to adhere to the Kew Code of Conduct for the duration of the competition. 5.

DATABASE OF COMPETITOR'S DETAILS:
10.1 The data contained on an entry form submitted by an entrant for Kew Golf event is permanently retained by the Club within its database of competitor's details. 10.2 This database is operated to assist with the management of current and future Kew events. 10.3 From time to time players may be sent entry forms or event literature for Kew events, and accompanying material. 10.4 Upon receipt by the Kew Golf Club of a written request, a player may either have access to their details, or have their details deleted from the database.
