Arrival and check in at the Palladium Fall Rally event Fun in the theme park
What is the purpose of a Fall Rally? To provide an opportunity for Key Club members in North and South Carolina to gather in the early part of a new academic year and become motivated about Key Club, hear inspirational speakers, learn about service leadership programs, and share ideas through an exciting one-day event at Carowinds.
Who can attend? Anyone in your school, including both Key Club members and students who might want to become members! We encourage club officers to attend, but everyone in your school is welcome! Want a great project idea? Team up with your sponsoring Kiwanis Club to bring community children with you that might never get a chance to go! An ALL INCLUSIVE package is available at a discounted price of $58.00, or you can pay the Fall Rally only price of $40.00 per person that includes Carowinds admission, Fall Rally programming, a commemorative T-shirt, and options to buy a wristband for unlimited soft drinks in the park ($7.00) and an all-you-can-eat group lunch ($14.00). An UPGRADED lunch menu this year includes fried chicken, hot dogs, mac & cheese, salad, corn, potato chips, ice cream, cookies and soft drinks, and will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the picnic area near the front entrance. The ROSE ROOM is again open for all advisors!
ALL INCLUSIVE Package! Take advantage of discounts on Fall Rally prices if you buy the ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE in advance. This Package includes Fall rally/park admission, all you can eat buffet lunch (served from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm) , and an all day soft drink wristband. The package includes priority dismissal into the park at the end of the rally.
LOWER MINIMUMS for Incentives! The more people you bring to Fall Rally equals greater incentives. Clubs buying at least 27 ALL INCLUSIVE packages or 27 Fall Rally only tickets will qualify for free packages or incentives. Please see the registration page for details. To qualify, all students (Key Club members and non Key Club students) must be from the same high school. Sorry, extra students that you may bring and pay for on the day of the Fall Rally do not count towards the incentive, and clubs cannot combine attendees with those from other schools to meet the required minimums. Reward advisors and their family with free packages or tickets earned!
What is the schedule for the day? Your club needs to arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. After your advisor handles all paperwork and receives your tickets and materials, members will receive their rally t shirt (to be worn during your day at Carowinds) and then enter the Palladium area for current year fall rally events and programming. The Fall Rally will end no later than 11:45 a.m., with the rest of the day for you to enjoy Carowinds!
What if the drive is too far for our club to come up on Sunday? The Carolinas District is not providing housing for this event. The decision for individual clubs to come to Charlotte the night before the event is the choice of each club and its advisors. Please note that this event is not chaperoned by the Carolinas District, and that your club is responsible for satisfying your school’s requirements for school trips and chaperoning. The Carolinas District is hosting this event at Carowinds, but assumes no responsibility for the individuals that may choose to attend this event.
Can I register and attend the Fall rally on my own? While Fall Rally is open to all schools with Key Clubs, we do not register individual members. Your Fall rally registration must be completed for all members of your club that wish to attend, and you must have at least one responsible adult to check your group in at the registration area and receive your Fall Rally materials, tickets and park admission. Sorry, multiple registrations per club cannot be permitted. All registration forms submitted must be signed acknowledged by an advisor.
What if I oversleep or get sick and cannot attend the Fall rally after I have paid? When your funds have been submitted to us we will make all necessary arrangements for your day at Carowinds. While refunds are not permitted, the Carolinas District allows for substitutions on the day of the Fall Rally. The approval of any replacement would be the responsibility of the adult/advisor for your club; please discuss this provision with the appropriate advisor leading your trip. Adults checking your group in will also be given the option of donating your unused ticket value to Boys and Girls Homes of NC to bring children in need to the following years Fall Rally.
What if the weather looks bad on the day of the Fall rally? Fall Rally will be held as scheduled unless Carowinds closes for the full day. Even if weather threatens, provisions will be made to hold the Fall Rally and necessary adjustments will be made in programming to insure as much time in the park for attendees as possible.
