Obituary Ida Rever Irene Crutchfield Burnette was born in Chatham County on February 13, 1931 and departed this life October 3, 2017 at her home. She was the daughter of late Arthur Nettles and the late Ollie Crutchfield Burnette.

Rever was educated in the Chatham County School System. She moved to New York to work for a while and returned back home to Pittsboro, NC. She worked at Pittsboro Poultry and also did domestic work for years until she retired . Rever was married to the late Julius Burnette, to this union four children were born. Rever was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Burnette and a grandson, Jewayne Burnette. Rever was a dedicated member of Mitchell Chapel Church where she was on the Usher Board, the White Wings Gospel Choir. Rever served until her health began to fail her. Rever leaves to cherish: her daughter, Sandra Horton (Larry) of Pittsboro, NC; two sons, Gary Burnette of Pittsboro, NC and Roscoe Burnette (Lin) of Mebane, NC; two step children: Renae Burnette of MD and Magaleen Stewart of PA; seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; aunts: Catherine Nettles Alston; sister-in-law, Mable Brooks; brother-in-law, Charlie Burnette; foster sister, Dorothy Gales; cousins and special family friends, Rev. Rose R. McMillian, Lacy Williams and Pam Goins; and a host of other family and friends.
