Jansz Tasmania Late Disgorged Cuvée 2004 The Vintage • 2004
The Winemaker • Natalie Fryar
The Conditions • The long cool vintage provided a challenge with constant rainfall throughout the ripening period
The Viticulture & Winemaking • Remarkable vigilance in the vineyard rewarded us with batches of very high quality wine • In exceptional vintages (including this one), a few select dozen are held back to age for an extra four years in the bottle, creating a Late Disgorged Cuvée • Extra four years ageing on lees gives this superb wine great depth and complexity
The Wine • Look out for whiffs of lemon and white nectarines • A fruity, intense palate displays ripe lemon curd, poached pears, truffled honey, toasted almonds and spices
