LCFF Policy Updates • New LCAP template was approved by the State Board of Education in Nov. • By October 2015, the state will develop an evaluation rubric to: – Help LEAs evaluate their strengths, weaknesses, and areas that require improvement – Help county superintendents identify LEAs in need of technical support and for which intervention is warranted

Changes in New LCAP Template • Addition of definitions in order to improve clarity of terms • Additional description of why wanting to use supplemental/concentration on school wide or district wide basis • Organization of template in order to enhance ease of reading and understanding—now more similar to SPSA plans • Goals/actions/expenditures and progress indicators were combined in one section (this combined sections 2, 3a and 3b). • Formulas on how to calculate certain metrics were added • Some guiding questions and other language was modified 7

Annual Update Section in New Template • Added an annual update table where you must report actual changes for all actions, outcomes and expenditures for each goal based on implementation • Must report on how this affects changes to goals and other modifications in current LCAP • Added an annual update section to stakeholder engagement
