Steve Daley The son of a retired miner from South Yorkshire, Steve Daley followed his dream to become a Professional Footballer. At age 15 Steve was spotted by a chief scout from Wolverhampton Wanderers FC whilst playing Sunday morning football and invited to move to Wolverhampton leaving his family in Yorkshire. This proved to be the start of a successful playing career resulting in a ‘roller coaster’ of highs and lows: Britain’s ‘First 1.5 Million Pound Record Transfer’ was followed shortly by headlines ‘The One Million Pound Misfit’ and ‘White Elephant Man’ of the footballing world! Hard work, determination and self- belief enabled Steve to get his career back on track. A truly Motivational and Inspirational journey.
