Look at What We are Learning Reading: We are doing a “close reading” of an excerpt of Hatchet and we will be digging deep into Rachel Carson: Pioneer of Ecology by Kathleen Kudlinski Essential Question: How do readers identify relationships and interactions in texts? Module Goals: Readers will explain the relationships among scientific concepts. Writers will examine a topic and convey ideas with facts, definitions, and details. Learners will explore content to understand how all living things live in interactive ways that impact one another. Writing: “Get the Word Out” We are finishing up our memoirs and students will write clear and logical informative essays that include student choice.
Essential Questions: How can we divide whole numbers? How can we describe the relationship between two decimal place-value positions? How can you use place-value to compare and contrast decimals? How can you round decimals? How can you add and subtract decimals? *REMINDERS*
