Lovemark Wins ARNOLD PALMERAWARD Presented by CALLAWAY GOLF WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Jamie Lovemark of Southern California claimed the ARNOLD PALMER AWARD presented by CALLAWAY GOLF. The Palmer Award is presented annually to the national championship individual medalists. Also ���������������������������������������������������������� named the Jack Nicklaus Award presented by Dillard’s Inc./Hartmarx Corp. �������������� �������������������������������� as national player of the year and the Phil Mickelson Award as the nation’s outstanding freshmen, Lovemark burst onto the scene with four wins during his first season at USC. He won the NCAA Division I Championships, Pac-10 Championship, Big Ten/Pac-10 Challenge and the Oregon Duck Invitational. Lovemark also finished runner-up at both the NCAA West Regional and USC Collegiate Invitational and third at the Inverness Intercollegiate Invitational and the CordeValle Collegiate. He was also a semifinalist for The Ben Hogan Award. Notable past recipients of the award include Phil Mickelson (1992), Justin Leonard (1994), Tiger Woods (1996), Charles Howell (2000) and Ryan Moore (2005).

GCAA Announces Division I PING First-Team All-Americans A total of 10 players named to first team WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — PING Division I All-America selections have been announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America following the final round of the Division I NCAA Championships. A total of 10 players comprised the first team Rhys Davies of East Tennessee State, Florida’s Billy Horschel, Dustin Johnson of Coastal Carolina, Chris Kirk and Brendon Todd of Georgia, Arizona State’s Niklas Lemke, Jamie Lovemark of Southern California, Clemson’s Kyle Stanley and Dawie van der Walt of Lamr garnered PING First-Team All-America honors. Second- and third-team All-Americans, as well as honorable mention selections will be announced next week.
