T HE R EDWOOD B OWL

The Redwood Bowl “Home of the Jacks”, is one of the most unique venues in all of college football. The large Redwood trees which border the stadium to the north and east, make for a setting that’s both serene and surreal, giving Humboldt State one of the best game day atmospheres in all of Division II. All Camp sessions will be held on the Redwood Bowl field, as well as our indoor practice facility. Both fields are artificial surfaces. JACKS IN THE NFL

HSU Head Coach Rob Smith Rob Smith is entering his seventh year as Head Coach at Humboldt State University. Prior to Coach Smith’s arrival in 2008, HSU had experienced just one winning season since 1995. Now, the Jacks have won the school’s first GNAC conference championship in 2011, and have been ranked as high as 9th nationally in the AFCA Division II coaches poll. Coach Smith has 23 years of collegiate head coaching experience, holding that position for 17 years at Western Washington University prior to HSU. He has been honored nine times as Coach of the Year and was inducted into the Western Washington University Hall of Fame in 2007. Coach Smith, with a career record of 140-95 currently ranks 8th among active Division II coaches for most wins. .
