INTRODUCTION This guide will demonstrate how to remove and replace a light sensor in the Lytro First Generation light field camera.

Lytro First Generation Light Sensor Replacement

Step 1 — Light Sensor



Remove the lens covering by using the plastic opening tool to pry it away from the camera. There are strong magnets attached to the bottom so some force is required.

Step 2



Remove the four screws using the screwdriver.



The screws will separate the lense part of the camera from the screen part.

The spit between the lense portion and the screen portion reveals a motherboard



gently disconnect the two ribbons (shown in red) that connect the motherboard to the lense portion by lifting up the black covers and pulling gently.



There will be a slight bit of glue connecting the two potions that can be removed with a slight tug.

Remove the three black screws.



Repeat the same process done to the first two ribbons with this one, boxed in orange.

Remove the three springs and unscrew the three screws.



Replace the light sensor.
