The home of the British America’s Cup challenger Our event facility offers an experience that never fails to impress, located at the home of the British America’s Cup team, Land Rover BAR, in Old Portsmouth. Our two unique event spaces offer a modern and creative environment in which to meet, train, network and entertain. The top floor Flight Deck, and innovative Tech Deck are available for exclusive hire. The team was conceived by four times Olympic gold medalist and 34th America's Cup winner, Sir Ben Ainslie, with the aim of bringing the America's Cup back home to Britain, where it all began in 1851.

Flight Deck Flexible space - a total of 477m2 The top floor of the Land Rover BAR base comprises ‘The Flight Deck’ - a unique event space overlooking the Solent that is available for exclusive hire. With a maximum capacity of 330 occupants (in accordance with fire restrictions), this 477m2 space is a versatile event space that can be used for board meetings, conferences, product launches or dinners. The Flight Deck also features an external roof terrace. The focal point of the room is a fixed, timber clad service area and bar, provided by Nyetimber - the UK’s finest sparkling wine producer.

Tech Deck A unique event space - a total of 462m2 The second floor of the Land Rover BAR base comprises ‘The Tech Deck’ – an incredibly unique event space, which offers visitors an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience, enabling them to get close to the boats, people and technologies that will allow the team to fly faster and sail smarter. The Tech Deck features a variety of interactive exhibits, including the hull from the team’s second testing boat ‘T2’, a 360º virtual reality sailing experience, and a grinding challenge, creating the perfect interactive environment. The Tech Deck also features a large external roof terrace, where guests can take a closer look at our solitary bee hotels and solar PV panels, providing an ideal entertaining space overlooking the Solent. With a maximum capacity of 150 occupants, this 462m2 space can be used for a variety of different events; including drinks receptions, small conferences, board meetings, and product launches.

Sustainable event guidelines
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Land Rover BAR. We therefore ask that all events follow our sustainable event guidelines to help us conform with our sustainability policy. SINGLE USE PLASTICS • Eliminate single use plastic items, including drinks bottles, straws, plastic cups, takeaway cups, plastic bags, stirrers, balloons, and branding. • Promote the use of reusable drinks bottles and use tap water. There are filtered water machines on both the Flight Deck and the Tech Deck. WASTE & PACKAGING • Minimise packaging, and use recycled content materials where possible. • Avoid unnecessary giveaways and promotional materials, especially where they include single use plastics. • Reduce paper use in all areas, use 100% post-consumer recycled content paper where possible. • Please make sure you use the recycling facilities provided. There are bins for mixed recycling which include; clean and dry paper, card, plastics, tins and cans. There are also bins for glass. CUT FLOWERS • Avoid using cut flowers for decoration. • For a decorative floral alternative, please consider using potted plants that will be reused. TRAVEL • Prioritise low carbon transportation solutions. There is no visitor parking at Land Rover BAR.
