2. The Directorate of Public Prosecutions invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and delivery of furniture. 3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open International bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and are open to all bidders from eligible source countries including East African Countries. 4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Procuring and Disposing Unit and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below during working hours (8AM5PM) in as in (9) below. 5. Bidding documents may be purchased from: The Head of Procurement and Disposal Unit for a nonrefundable fee of UGX 100,000 (Uganda Shilling One Hundred Thousand Only), or its equivalent in a freely-convertible currency. This fee is payable to Uganda Revenue Authority through all participatory commercial banks after obtaining the bank Advise form from the cash office of the Directorate. 6. Bids shall be valid for One Hundred and Twenty (120) days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by a bid security of UGX 2,000,000 Two Million Only) Per Lot

Viewing of these assets can be done as “WHERE - IS” i.e. where they are located, during working days between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. From 8th February 2016 through 29th February, 2016. Tender documents with detailed information can be obtained from the Mbale Area Federation of Communities (MAFOC) Area Office, Plot 4 Namirundu Road, during working days between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. upon payment of a non refundable fee of UGX 50,000 for Motor Cycles and UGX 20,000 for each of the rest of the lots. Payments shall be made in cash at the Finance Office or banked to Mbale Area Federation of communities BARCLAYS BANK (Account N0 6004617841) Bids must be accompanied by a deposit of UGX 100,000 for Motorcycles in the form of Cheque/draft which is refundable if the bidder is not successful. Completed tender documents in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked “TENDER NO 001/02/16” and specifying the Lot number should be addressed, submitted and/or
delivered before 12.00 noon on Monday 29th February, 2016. The Chairman, Procurement Committee, Mbale Area Federation of Communities, Plot 4, Namirundu Road, Mbale. Bids will be accepted for individual assets for all Lots 1, Lots 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Tenders will be opened at 10.00am prompt in public on the 1st March 2016 at the MAFOC Mbale Area Office and bidders or their representatives who wish to witness the opening are welcome to do so. Successful bidders MUST make full payment within one week’s time upon notification. Mbale Area Federation of Communities reserves the right to accept or reject any tender either in whole or in part and annul the tendering process at any time prior to contract award without thereby incurring any liability and is not bound to give reasons for its decision.
