System Control Diagrams 25. - 26. MARCH

System Control Diagrams SCD design methodology is a methodology developed in the Norwegian offshore environment since in the 80`s to ensure a more uniform implementation of control logic and make it available to other than just the programmer. The method is embodied in NORSOK standard I-005. The course will be based on this standard. More and more of the oil companies require SCD in their projects and desire that the personnel possess this expertise. System Control Diagrams (SCD) for the SAS system integrates control logic in a simplified process layout, in order to facilitate quality assurance of logic by other disciplines. The methodology for building SCD’s is developed in the Norwegian offshore environment and has now established itself as an important tool. Target group: Employees in engineering, oil companies, suppliers and consultants. The course is aimed at anyone who needs to maintain and develop System Control Diagrams. This is often the automation engineers or technical designers with suppliers, in engineering or operational organization , but also others who wish to gain a detailed insight into SCD’s, will benefit from the course. - for example from other disciplines such as Process , Electrical , HVAC and Mechanical discipline ; control room operators ; personnel involved in completion. Through group work the participants will be tried in relevant practical examples. The course is conducted and created by the expert group for NORSOK I- 005 in conjunction with NFA and IFEA .
