MANSFIELD MOUNTAINEERS INTRODUCTION
The Mansfield University athletic visual identity is a reflection of the unique characteristics and history of the college and its students past and present. It was designed to create a distinct and consistent brand that represents the spirit and resolve of the Mountaineers. The visual identity was developed to honor that past while preparing Mansfield for a successful future. The unique marks that comprise the identity are an evolution of symbols used throughout the history of this great university and honor a strong tradition. The look was carefully crafted with the input of alumni, students, student-athletes, faculty, staff, and fans over the course of several months to encapsulate the special qualities of Mansfield with an original look. As a charter member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), Mansfield competes against the top NCAA Division II athletes in the nation. The Mountaineers offer 13 intercollegiate athletic programs: baseball, field hockey, men’s basketball, men’s cross country, men’s indoor and outdoor track & field, women’s basketball, women’s cross country, women’s indoor and outdoor track & field, women’s soccer, softball, and sprint football. The visual identity detailed in this style guide sets the tone for Mansfield University’s bright future. Go Mounties!
