Mary’s Mini Duffle Short Description: A quick little duffle bag to hold all your favorite things Long Description: These classy little bags come in three sizes and are perfect for storing your stuff!! It is convenient to keep all sorts of necessities… your sewing supplies, makeup, a carry-all for pencils & pens, anything you can stuff inside. Take a look inside – there are not raw edges. A pair of fat quarters and a zipper and you can make a mini duffle. Finished size: Large size 8” long x 4” wide x 4” high Date: 12/14/2017 Time: 10am – 2pm Pattern: Mary’s Mini Duffle (provided free at class) Materials Needed: Large size duffle 2 Fat Quarters 14” zipper or longer ½ yard of Annie’s Soft and Stable (approximate size needed: 18” x 20”) Supplies Needed for Day of Class:  Sewing machine with appropriate quilting and piecing thread, walking foot, zipper foot, #14 needle  Pins, rotary cutter, rulers (recommended: 6.5 x 12.5 for additional cutting), and cutting mat  Pencil, chalk, water soluble pen or thin marker to mark with  Wonder clips  Spray baste or quilting safety pins  ¼” Steam a seam 2 (helpful with zipper install) HOMEWORK….It is recommended to complete this before the day of the class to help ensure you finish the day of the class. You will be cutting out the main pieces of the mini duffle. From the each fat quarters and soft and stable: cut rectangles: 14” x 18”. Bring the leftover scrap pieces of the fabrics to class to finish cutting additional parts.

You will learn tips and tricks for successful quilting with your walking foot. Bring more of your favorite fabrics, soft and stable and zippers…start another mini duffle in the same size or make a different size. We will begin by layering the quilt sandwich and quilting the rectangle using your walking foot.
