Matt de la Peña is author of six young adult novels, including "Mexican WhiteBoy," "The Living" and "The Hunted." He also wrote "Last Stop on Market Street," winner of the 2016 Newbery Medal, Caldecott Honor, and Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor awards. de la Peña's books have been praised for their portrayal of culturally diverse themes and characters.
